TV Box – Nein Danke!

A survey was held in order to sort out the German approach to interiors and home styling. Surprisingly, it showed that the average German unpacks his new flat screen TV and lets the cardboard box stay as a sideboard(!) IKEA would never waste an opportunity to change interior behavior and now the German public is inspired with a printed brochure that comes out six times per year. Together with ICOM we are happily responsible for the online version.
We took off from the printed platform and added interaction possibilities with inspiring full screen pictures and music guiding the users through the product chapters.
The visitor can navigate to see detail, get product overviews and add to cart. Interior items of interest can then be shared through e-mail or simply taken to the nearest IKEA store as a shopping list. The website is specially designed for iPhone/IPad and works with ordinary gestures. The images fill the screen regardless of screen and acts.

The backend is managed using ASP.NET and an SQL database, which handles all images as well as product info directly at IKEA.de
